On Sunday. Sept 21, 2008,
the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation held their annual Walk for a
Cure in Byrd Park. There were over 2000 walkers lead off by our very
own James River Regiment Drumline. After a busy band weekend the
drumline volunteered their time to support one of their very own members
who is a type I diabetic. There was media coverage by Jack and Jen of
Mix 103.5 as well as a radio spot on
NPR on Monday morning
