Senior Night and Poinsettia Sales

Senior Night this Friday: All senior marching band students (including guard) will be recognized at halftime. Please make sure you have emailed Celeste Alcorta ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ) with your senior information (an email was sent weeks ago). After the halftime show, seniors will leave the formation and join their parents on the sideline at the concession stand end of the field. Parents: Please arrive at JRHS at 6:15pm and join the band where they circle up on the black top adjacent to the band room to receive your boutinere and instructions for the halftime senior recognition. During 2nd quarter when the band leaves the stands to prepare for the halftime show, all senior parents need to proceed to the concession stand end of the field and wait on the grassy part of the sideline. We will line you up in alphabetical order and from there you can watch the halftime show. As you are introduced you and your senior will walk along the sideline on the field to the 50-yard line where Mr. Cottrill will greet you. Then proceed past him to the next available spot adjacent to the sideline and face the home stands. A photographer from Lifetouch will be there to take your picture. They are offering one complementary 5x7 to each senior. If you have any questions, please reply to this email.

Poinsettia Sales are due Friday: NO EXCEPTIONS: All poinsettia orders MUST BE TURNED IN BY THIS FRIDAY OR YOUR ORDER DOES NOT GET FILLED. We must adhere to this deadline to ensure that the poinsettia orders can be filled by the November 29 distribution date. Submit a completely filled out, ledgeable (printed), order form with money. Order forms without money will not be filled. Please do not turn in cash--have someone write a check payable to the James River Band Boosters in place of cash.

We need volunteers to help with the distribution process on November 29, 3:30pm-7:00pm in the Open Commons. Students need to come to the Open Commons on November 29 between 4:00pm and 7:00pm to pick up their poinsettia orders and distribute them. Unclaimed poinsettias will be donated to a good cause. There is nowhere to store poinsettias for later pick up. Mark your calendars now to pick up your poinsettias on the 29th by 7pm.
